Now imagine an OCD guy owning one of these, and what would happen if you swapped the top/bottom headlight wiring while he wasn’t watching. That niggling sense something wasn’t right while driving at night...

I think the pre-terrible facelift version is pretty good. Front is still meh but the rest is nice.
